Interestingly, I was at a Guess watch yesterday trying to get my watches working again. I had a little chat with the guy who replaces the batteries. And below are some facts:
1. If your watch cover (on the reverse side), need to be peeled open, your watch is old, and if someone tries to sell you one of these, please make sure it is free or very cheap (because it should be old stock)
2. If your watch is original, ensure that the battery inside is made from Maxell. It should not be Sony or anything else. But more expensive watches would want battery made by Swiss manufactured batteries. So do watch it.
3. Life span of a decent Japanese battery is RM15 (including installation services). Life span of a lousy battery is several months (don't know how much it costs) AND a Swiss battery could go up to 2 years (for about RM20)!!
So that is that, a little wisdom from the watch maker :)
~~~ Life is an adventure where we search for the meaning of the outcome.
The Person Behind this Blog
- Winson
- I tend to take my life simple, like to achieve a lot of different objectives in life, want to strive hard to achieve things because I feel that life is too valuable to be wasted on not getting anything done.
